Day By Day

Now my wife’s pregnancy just enters its tenth week. That means it ... Mmm, err, umm..., I actually don’t know. I just realized that I haven’t read the pregnancy book or email newsletter. So I am pretty much in the dark about what happens. Am planning to read about it on the weekend though, except if I suddenly feel more interested in watching Heroes DVD instead.

It’s funny how I become interested in this. It’s like my work and social life are taking a step back and my wife’s pregnancy is the priority now. I am interested to know every detail about what happens inside her tummy. It’s a strange thing. I was never interested in anything inside her body. Heck, I was never interested to find out about what’s happening inside MY body.

But I guess that’s what happens when you become an expecting dad. Your life suddenly revolves around the pregnancy, which also includes your wife’s craving, mood swings, sudden tiredness, and so on. But those all are okay for me. Because when those happen, I just have to remember one precious thing, that I won’t be the one lying on the doctor’s bed, delivering a 3-kg baby through a hole as big as a bottle’s mouth. Am so happy I am a man.

BTW, there’s not much happening on the pregnancy life. So we just take it day by day as it is.
