Talk To You Baby
Knowing that your baby can now hear you makes a lot of changes. I can now speak to her, although it feels kinda weird talking to my wife’s belly button. I do not know whether I should talk to her from different direction that might have more acoustic advantages, so I just direct my voice at the belly button. I just think of it as a microphone for the baby, for me to communicate my love for the baby, except that the baby does not understand anything that I said.
I heard that it’s good to have a conversation early so that we can create bond even before she’s born. So that’s what I did. I talked to her every night before bed. Some even said that I should read a story book to her at this point. But since I don’t have any children story book, and at this point I cannot remember any fairy tales, except Superman vs Doomsday, I just talk to her the same thing over and over again every night, like about how’s my day, about our plan for her, and about how painful my back is because of the position that I need to take for speaking to my wife’s tummy.
